Today the largest storm of the year blasted us and sent the San Lorenzo river, just above Santa Cruz, into flood levels. When I shot the video the gauge was reading around 9,000 cubic feet per second. All season until this week it has been mostly around 40cfs. The rapid is normally a large rock pile and is considered class IV. Right now that stretch looks like solid class V+
